The challenge of AI to democracy

Drawing on expertise from journalism and academia, this event will explore this intersection between democratic politics and the possibilities and challenges posed by artificial intelligence.

This talk is part of the Unfolding Our Shared Future: Challenge, Possibility and Potential in the 21st Century talk series. A travelling festival addressing issues facing the US and UK in domestic, trans-Atlantic and global contexts. This series is delivered by the American Politics Group of the Political Studies Association and the host universities with the support of the British Association of American Studies and the US Embassy in London.

We will welcome Stephanie Hare (researcher, broadcaster and author) and Timandra Harkness (presenter, writer and comedian). The event will be chaired by Dr Peter Finn
