As part of the Systemic Design Association's annual Symposium, RSD12, Kingston University is hosting an event at our award-winning building Town House, acting as an RSD12 hub partner and showcasing emerging thinking and research in the fields of cyber and digital.
The event will explore interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary approaches through creative conversations and design approaches applied in learning and cyberculture in the context of a new wave of designers and researchers who view social and environmental considerations as criticalities of design.
We are delighted to welcome Karen Cham, Professor of Augmented Intelligence, Digital Transformation and Design from Kingston Business School as our keynote speaker. Karen will be joined by Damian Chapman, Assistant Dean, Faculty of Engineering, Computing and the Environment, and Professor Vesna Brujic-Okretic, Head of School of Computer Science and Mathematics, and academics from Kingston and other Universities who will be running engaging workshops, interactives and panel sessions.
The event will set the stage for Kingston University's planned new Cyber and Digital Innovation Hub which will build on and develop activities of the existing Cyber Centre of Excellence, bringing together the University with business industry and community partners to develop ideas and explore problems in the fields of cyber and digital innovation.
Anyone with an interest in systemic design, cybernetics, cyber security, and digital innovation is most welcome to attend.
Tickets are free of charge and refreshments and lunch will be provided.
Booking is essential to attend this event.
