Kingston Business School's premium Strategy into Practice seminar series is designed to give you the opportunity to gain insights of strategy within business and not-for-profit corporations.
You will hear first-hand accounts from top executives on strategic challenges in their industry and how they strategically steer their organisation to compete successfully and deal with complex issues such as international growth, innovation and corporate social responsibilities.
You will have the opportunity to ask questions and network after each session with the speaker, other local business leaders and academic staff from Kingston Business School.

Mark has had a 37-year career in financial services. He recently retired from Citigroup, where he was a Managing Director in Investment Research. Citigroup is a global bank and financial services provider connecting millions of people across hundreds of countries and cities. Citi has over 200 years of experience helping their clients meet the world's toughest challenges by responsibly providing financial services that enable growth and economic progress.
Mark was a member of the Citi Research Executive Committee with responsibility for the Global Strategy and Macro Group (GSMG) which covers economic and political analysis and macro strategy across developed and emerging markets. The GSMG group covers all the major asset classes including bonds, equities, currencies and commodities.
Mark was based in the London office and started with Citi over 22 years ago having joined the company in 1997 as Global Head of Interest Rate Strategy.
Mark previously worked at San Paolo di Torino from 1994 to 1997 as a Proprietary Trader. Before that, he worked as a Fund Manager running bond and currency portfolios at CIGNA International Investment Advisors.
Mark is a Kingston alumnus having graduated in 1987 with a BA in French, Economics & Politics and from the University of Grenoble's IEP in Political Science in 1986. Most recently Mark completed his masters in Behavioural Sciences from the London School of Economics and Political Science in 2019, specialising in organisational culture and decision theory.
Mark's talk will be entitled A Journey Through the Markets and will cover the evolution of the finance industry over the last 40 years and what the future holds - told through the lens of his personal career.
