Midwifery seminar: Delivered at home or call the midwife?

The author explores the lived experience of home birth. Using her experience of training and practising as a district midwife, as well as photographs, memorabilia, the testimony of women and statistical analysis, a picture of the efficacy of the domiciliary midwifery service during this time frame emerges.
