Veronika Peshkova

Veronika was officially awarded and appointed UNIDO Goodwill Ambassador in September 2018 for advocating the importance of public-private programs for women's entrepreneurship development, including activities in UNIDO, BRICS and in Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation. Veronika is a prominent gender activist with long-standing experience in supporting women's empowerment and entrepreneurship initiatives.

Veronika is also the President of the Public Diplomacy Foundation "Women's View" and founded her own privately owned consultancy in 2013. Veronika has extensive expertise in strategy, finance and business operations, and is accomplished in structuring and negotiating transactions with favourable terms with commercial banks. Her client list includes companies such as Gazprom, Sberbank and the Government of Moscow City.

Veronika has been a corporate finance executive offering extensive experience in leading and advising corporations through complex restructures, business expansion in retail, healthcare, engineering and FMCG sectors. Having started her career in the field of finance & administration, Veronika has over 15 years' experience as a manager of Russian subsidiaries of multi-national companies such as Danone, Maersk, Rolf Group and practical skills of managing over 2.5bn. USD turnover.

Veronika has an MBA from Kingston University and has supervised several research projects in the field of business internationalisation and SME development conducted through public sector and university initiatives.
