Since re-joining the rail industry in August 2018, Andrew has been refocussing Network Rail on why it exists - getting passengers and freight to where they need to be.
The rail industry is at a critical point. Passengers haven't been getting the service they deserve. Over the years ahead, Andrew's focus is on putting that right, by putting the interests of passengers and freight users at the heart of decision-making.
Andrew's passion for customer service came from his first job as a left luggage clerk at London. And is something he has carried with him through his career, as Managing Director of South West Trains to heading up the Rail Division of First Group plc. Until most recently where he spent 9 years as Chief Executive of the Civil Aviation Authority.
