For each of our undergraduate courses, you should apply online through the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS).
When you have submitted your application, UCAS will pass it on to your chosen universities and colleges. Of course, we'd be delighted if you make Kingston University one of your choices!
When we receive your application, our admissions team and academic staff will review it and consider if we can offer you a place to study at Kingston. Depending on your chosen course/s you may be invited to an interview or to submit a portfolio.
You can follow the progress of your applications online through the UCAS Hub, which you'll also use to reply to any offers you receive and update your details (change of address or email, for example).
While you wait for a decision on your application, it is a good idea to familiarise yourself with the universities and colleges you have applied to, so you know more about them when the time comes to decide where you would like to study. Most universities hold regular Open Days so you can visit and take a look around.
Each university and college makes their offer decisions at different times, so you might hear back before your friends do, or vice versa. However, there are deadlines by which universities have to make their decision, and these vary depending on when you applied.
You will find up-to-date information on decision deadlines and types of offers on the UCAS website.
If a portfolio or an interview is part of the application process for your course, this will be stated in the entry requirements section of the undergraduate course you are applying for, alongside guidance on what you'll need to prepare.
If you are invited to submit a portfolio or attend an interview, you will be contacted by our admissions team with instructions on what to do next.
If you receive an offer to study with us, you'll be invited to one of our Offer Holder Days. These days are designed to be a "day in the life of", where you'll have the opportunity to experience how your course is taught and the types of things you'll be studying.
Offer Holder Days are different to Open Days, as they include exciting activities that will allow you to actually try out your degree before you join us.
First, check the UCAS Hub if you want to find out about the progress of your undergraduate application.
If you still have a query, you can contact us about undergraduate courses. Remember to quote your UCAS number in the title of your email.
