The Corporate Procurement Unit (PDF) is a dedicated centre of excellence for all procurement related matters on behalf of Kingston University and St George's, University of London (part of City St George's, University of London).
We promote efficient, effective and sustainable procurement, working with our customers and suppliers to ensure that we maximise the value for money on all expenditure covering goods, services and works. We are also keen to attract added value opportunities through our procurements, especially those that add value to the experiences gained by our students.
Our Procurement Strategy (PDF) provides a roadmap outlining where we are aiming to further develop our services and our Supplier Relationship Management Strategy (PDF) sets out how we intend to work collaboratively with our suppliers.
Our Procurement policy identifies the key drivers for procurement and explains how procurement will contribute to the delivery of value for money across Kingston University and St George's University of London (part of City St George's, University of London), remove any inefficiencies and build sustainable and ethical supply chains.
Kingston University is a member of, and works collaboratively with, the London Universities Purchasing Consortium.
Kingston University is committed to embedding the principles of sustainability within its procurement activities. This means we will make a balanced assessment of the social, ethical, environmental and economic impacts of our spend throughout our procurement process, and work with our supply chain to improve these where possible.
We are keen to work with suppliers who can support our approach to sustainability and can demonstrate continual improvement in environmental management and ethics.
Potential suppliers to Kingston University are encouraged to register on our In-Tend e-procurement site.
For high-value procurements, Kingston University must comply with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 which, from 24 February 2025, is expected to be superseded by the Procurement Act 2023.
Potential suppliers can register on Find a Tender to see these advertisements.
Where we decide to advertise a requirement for goods, works or services, which is below the Find a Tender financial threshold, these are generally advertised on the government's Contracts Finder platform.
Both the Find a Tender platform and the Contracts Finder platform are expected to be replaced by the government's Central Digital Platform from 24 February 2025.
